Neil Aggarwal was hired as the first Hindu in the Chaplain’s Office in 2010. He held the role of the first Hindu Fellow at Yale.
The Hindu Prayer Room also opens in Bingham as the first dedicated Hindu prayer space at Yale.

Breathing Space opens in Welch as a non denominational creative and contemplative space.
2013
The Branford College chapel is rededicated as the Buddhist Shrine, giving Yale its first dedicated Buddhist prayer space.
2015
Coming Together 7(link is external), a nationwide multi-faith student conference, is hosted at Yale in February 2015.

Sumi Kim is hired as Buddhist Life Coordinator, the Chaplain’s Office’s first Buddhist employee.
