Welcome back to campus! On behalf of the Chaplain’s Office and our religious and spiritual communities at Yale, I am thrilled you are here. Whether you are new to campus or have been here for decades, I hope this can be a year of welcome and home-finding. Yale is a place that contains multitudes and when you look at things from a different angle new possibilities emerge. I hope you continue to shift your angle and your vision, finding the classes, communities and opportunities that will continue to nurture and shape you into your best self. Be gentle with yourselves this year, allowing space for deep breath and grace. Be gentle with others, we all carry burdens others know nothing about. May you be humble and curious, ready to listen and learn from one another. And may you remember to come have ice cream and take a moment of pause at the Chaplain’s office, you are loved, you matter, and we are eager to connect with you.
