Consider This: 04/07/2025

In instances of uncertainty or of mutual consternation my mom would often lighten the moment and say in rhyming wisdom from the Arabic language that in time “the snow will melt, and the path forward will be made clear.” We are currently in a seasonal transition, with longer sun-lit hours and welcoming cherry blossoms and the blooming of flowers. The snow has melted. I wonder, what may be clarifying in our spirits now that we will be able to see with greater clarity?

There are many small decisions to be made each day about how best to expend our energy, how to incorporate restfulness and sleep in the midst of demanding course schedules and leadership opportunities. As we carry this load in this new season, what is being made clearer about where we need to be and how we want to be moving in our lives? How do we best care for ourselves and one another moving forward? Are there life-limiting internalized messages we are carrying that we may allow to melt away so that we can step forward with greater confidence?
