Consider This: 10/9/2023

A few weeks ago, a friend compared the weeks ahead to an imminent tsunami wave. He described feeling powerless and unable to escape the looming wave of exams,
essays, post-grad stress.

What do you do in the wake of a natural disaster? You find refuge and take every possible step to protect yourself. In the wake of midterm season and what might
feel like the impending doom of never-ending exams, essays, presentations, and quizzes, I urge you to think about how you might find refuge. For me, that looks like
spending time with my Creator, sitting with Him in silence, or yapping to Him about everything that is taking up my mental space. For others, perhaps that looks like
committing to a workout regimen and investing in one’s physical health. Whatever it may be, find your shelter and take refuge in it. You don’t have to stand outside as
the tsunami wave drowns you out–don’t let the stressors of Yale steal your peace or distract you from finding shelter.
