Sharon Kugler retires, with Maytal Saltiel becoming interim chaplain for a semester.
2024
Maytal Saltiel, previously Associate University Chaplain, is installed as University Chaplain. Maytal is both the first non-Christian university chaplain and the first Jewish university chaplain, and has previously served eleven years as associate chaplain at Yale.
Leenah Safi was hired as the Assistant Muslim Chaplain, giving Yale two Muslim Chaplains for the first time.
