A holiday associated with the exuberant flinging of colored powders, Holi celebrates the advent of spring and the enduring message that good will always be victorious over evil; light will always overcome darkness. Day 1 is when bonfires are lit and Day 2 is when the colors are flung. Holi is celebrated by people from a variety of religions across India. Please note that Yale's official holi celebration is usually to April for the sake of warmer weather.
