Subscription to Religious Holidays Calendar

To import our Religious Holidays Calendar into your calendar application, please follow the directions below. If you run into any issues, please e-mail erica.adarkwa@yale.edu

Google Calendar User:

  1. On your computer, open Google Calendar.
  2. On the left side, find “Other calendars” and click the down arrow .
  3. Select Add by URL.
  4. Enter the following calendar’s address in the field provided - https://www.google.com/calendar/ical/1fkc78ne7p70f5dmt8mac79ems%40group.calendar.google.com/public/basic.ics
  5. Click Add calendar. The calendar will appear on the left side under “Other calendars.”

Note: It might take up to 12 hours for changes to show in your Google Calendar.

Yale Outlook Account User:

  1. Log into Yale Connect E-mail.
  2. Look at the bottom left corner of your screen and click Calendar.
  3. Click Share at top of screen.
  4. Click Add Calendar.
  5. Click Import Calendar from Internet.
  6. Paste the following url: 
    https://www.google.com/calendar/ical/1fkc78ne7p70f5dmt8mac79ems%40group.calendar.google.com/public/basic.ics
  7. Click Ok.

Note: Since Google Calendar does not sync with Outlook, this method produces a read-only version in your Outlook Calendar and does not update. Therefore, at the beginning of each academic year, please delete this imported calendar and re-add the updated one by following the same steps above. By doing so, you will import the newest version of our Google calendar.

Generic Outlook Calendar User:

  1. Open your Outlook and switch to Calendar > Manage Calendars ribbon group.
  2. Click Open Calendar button and choose “From Internet…” from the drop down list.
  3. Paste the following url:
    https://www.google.com/calendar/ical/1fkc78ne7p70f5dmt8mac79ems%40group.calendar.google.com/public/basic.ics
  4. Click Ok. 

Note: Since Google Calendar does not sync with Outlook, this method produces a read-only version in your Outlook Calendar and does not update. Therefore, at the beginning of each academic year, please delete this imported calendar and re-add the updated one by following the same steps above. By doing so, you will import the newest version of our Google calendar.

Apple Calendar User:

  1. On your computer, open Apple Calendar .
  2. In the top left corner of your screen, click Calendar > Preferences.
  3. Click the Accounts tab.
  4. On the left side of the Accounts tab, click +.
  5. Select Google > Continue.
  6. Enter your Gmail address, password, and verification code (if you have one).
  7. Click Accept.
  8. On the Accounts tab, choose how often you want Apple Calendar and Google Calendar to sync.

Note:  These instructions apply to Apple Calendar version 5+ and Mac OSX 10.10+ (Yosemite).
