Randy LaRose is the Director of the LDS Institute in New Haven, CT for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. He is currently appointed as the LDS Chaplain at Yale. Randy coordinates 40 seminaries throughout Connecticut and Rhode Island. He also directs institute programs at Brown University, UConn, Hartford, Providence, and the Coast Guard Academy.
He earned his bachelor’s degree in education from Brigham Young University. He received both his master’s degree in instructional technology and his doctorate in education from Utah State University. Before coming to Yale he was the principal of the Monticello Seminary from 1996-2014 as well as an instructor at the San Juan Institute of Religion. He is married to his high school sweetheart, Jenna, and they have three boys and one girl.
He and his family love to travel and to be involved in any adventure possible, especially outdoors!
