Amanda Wood is a native Californian who has lived all over her home state, from the mountains to the ocean to the city. She relocated to New Haven in the summer of 2014 with her husband, who is in the Emergency Medicine residency at the Yale-New Haven Hospital. Amanda joined the Chaplain’s Office in July 2015 as the Senior Administrative Assistant. Prior to coming to Yale, she worked for the Dean of the School of Intercultural Studies at Fuller Theological Seminary, where she studied and earned an MA in Theology and Ministry ‘13. She also spent two years in donor stewardship at the City of Hope National Medical Center. She is excited to work in a setting where she can engage both her academic and occupational training.
When not in the office, Amanda likes to travel and explore the outdoors with her husband and their Jack Russell Terrier in their New Haven neighborhood and throughout New England. She can often be found in the kitchen creating muffins, dinners and desserts with veggies from her husband’s gardening adventures and their local produce box.
